A
is for Andi. A is for Andrea. A is for Amazing. A is for Author. A is for Artist. A is for Aries.
From her Albuquerque, New Mexico, home on traditional Tiwa lands, Andrea (Andi) Penner serves up poetry and creative non-fiction on her Substack newsletter/blog,
In Our Own Ink. Her poetry, a fan fave at open mics, has appeared in Neologism, Sky Island Journal, and Does It Have Pockets? , several anthologies, and three self-published books. Her most recent collection, Upcycled: Poetry Repurposed (2024) asserts that just like people, poems deserve a second chance. Rabbit Sun, Lotus Moon was poetry finalist for the 2017 Arizona/New Mexico Book Award. She has spent a lifetime upcycling her credentials in diverse fields, from college English professor to industry consultant, trade school administrator to scientific and technical writer/editor and communications specialist at a national laboratory. And before all that? Well, that’s the stuff of her memoir-in-progress….
